My ten year old granddaughter Claire was visiting from North Carolina this week with her family. She is currently taking lessons at home and was excited to finally meet Star. After a few minutes of leading him around the arena she wanted to hop on. So we put her up on him bareback in his halter and they happily walked and trotted around getting to know each other. Star took care of his young passenger and we all had a good time. Star of Excellence is truly a Star! Submitted by Coleen

Melody of Excellence HOF

Sometimes, when a foal is born... you just know.  Melody was born at DerHaflingerhof to Maserata TOF, sired by Standard of Excellence TOF in 2012.  She stood right away, found her mother quickly and has been going full steam ahead ever since.  In 2015 she spent a very short time at a professional trainers.  To say she caught on quickly is an understatement.  She was ridden at the 2015 Futurity as a three year old.  She never looked back.  She won the Three Year Pleasure All, the Three Year Old Pleasure Riding and was named the Three Year Old Champion.  We feel this is the type of mare that breeding programs are based on.  A few weeks after the Futurity, she was taken to Mohican State Park and ridden by a youth rider over every type of trail obstacle imaginable.  She was perfect.  She was purchased by Rachel Cooper.  Melody is pictured with Ben Eicher, handler, Robert Eicher ,owner of DerHaflinger and International Haflinger judge and WHF President, Lukas Schieber.

Dam of E19370/T Freika by Skorpion - Scored 80 pts at her 3 yr old inspection in Austria.  Won the riding division of the Austrian performance test, placed 2nd overall - received an "excellent" rating.

Dam of Flawless WSF 31826-10  by Skorpion - Scored 81 pts GOLD at 2014 AHR Inspection.

Her full brother, Liz 279/T Nordwest, placed 2nd in the 2003 Austrian Stallion Inspection.  "Nordwest" won the 3-5 yr old stallion class in the 2003 European Show at Luxembourg.  He also won the 6-8 yr old stallion class in the 2008 European Show at Luxembourg.

We are so proud of Excellence Defined! 

In 2019 at Recognized Horse Trials; 6th at Winona, (Oh), 1st at Penny Oaks (In.), 3rd at Stone Gate (Oh.) and 1st at Jump Start (Ky.) Winner of Area 8 Championships. She qualified for the American Eventing Championships in 2020. In Mini Trials she has three first place finishes and always in the ribbons! She is Champion English W/T/C, Champion Western W/J/L. She received an Excellence Award in English W/T/C, Champion W/T/C Division, Champion W/J/L Division, Reserve Champion Dressage Division, Top 5 Horsemanship Division. She is a Standard of Excellence daughter. We are so proud of her!!

2010 son of Standard of Excellence out of one of our best producing mares, Rina WULF (see Our Mares page). Shown at the left at 17 months. (58 1/2") He was shown at the 2010 AHR Futurity and did well. We believe he will be an outstanding stallion.  Call for current training. Scheduled for the 2012 Futurity. 

Stamp was presented for Inspection at Ashland, OH. on June 29, 2012 as a two year old. He was presented a Silver ribbon with a score of 77.  While he was at the fairgrounds he was shown in the Buckeye Haflinger Show and stood as Reserve Champion Stallion! He was beaten by his big brother, Stelaka PHHF! 

This photo was taken at the AHR Futurity 2012 in Ashland, Ohio. The horse on the left is Standard of Excellence after winning the AHR SIP Stallion of the Year in both the Pleasure side and the Draft side. Quite an accomplishment! The middle stallion is Stelaka (Grand Champion Stallion at the Buckeye Show 2012) Standards son, and the horse on the right is Stamp of Excellence, also a Standard son (Reserve Champion Stallion at the Buckeye show 2012. Stamp will be leaving in 2013 to begin his stallion career in Australia, courtesy of Rosymoon Haflingers, Kerrie and Phillip Rosetta. This is probably the only opportunity we had to get the three of these stallions in one picture. An impressive "family" photo.

Candie's No Limit

Sired by Notting's No Limit out of the gold classified mare, Candida TOF.  

She was taken to Inspections in 2013 and rated SILVER. She is trained to ride (we have never harnessed her), nice on the trails, balanced walk, trot and canter. A beautiful mover. Almost 60" tall. We purchased this mare to add to our broodmare band. We have decided to cut down on the number of mares. Please call for an update on her training. She is selling open.  Candie's No Limit was taken to the New York Classic in 2014.  She was entered in 11 classes and won or placed in all 11 with three different youth riders.
